Bio
Aaron Gwin started his cycling career off early racing BMX from age 4 and was competing in
the nationals by the time he was 8. Aaron moved on to motocross and raced up until he
was 17 when he quit due to constant injuries and is now conquering the mountainbike world.
In 2008 Gwin was loaned a bike by fellow professional downhill racer and good friend
Cody Warren and was encouraged to compete in a race.

Much of Aaron's style and skill come from his motocross days, and his whips and jumping
technique are clear in videos. He also gained a lot of flow from racing BMX for so many years,
it also shows in his Dual Slalom and Mountain Cross results. Aaron joined the Trek World Racing
Team in November 2010 after relocating to Temecula, California.
In 2012, Aaron wrapped up the season early, taking an overall win at the penultimate
round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, with a month to go until the final race of the series.
Aaron’s 5th place at Val d’Isere gave him a 260 point lead in the cup standings,
with only 250 points available between August and the final round in September.
In his latest video, 'Aaron Gwin: The Fastest Man on Two Wheels', Aaron can be seen
at top speed descending down a mountain in Idyllwild, California.
After a disappointing UCI season in 2013, Aaron is looking forward to the next few months of competion.
